I like to feel strong.
Working out and feeling the strength of my muscles has always been important to me.
But, there is one muscle that I have not exercised nearly enough. It's weak and shaky.
It's the most important muscle of all ... and it's the most challenging for me to exercise.
It's my Self-Love muscle.
Over the last couple of years, it has atrophied more than any other muscle. In fact, it's in dire need of a daily workout.
Now, as many of you know, for me to have a good workout, I need music to motivate and inspire me! So, when I found this clip of a spoken word poem by Adam Roa, I knew that I had to put it on my Self-Love Workout Playlist because it touched me so deeply.

Because true self care means treating yourself like someone you love.
Remember, self love is like a muscle. We can't ignore it and expect it to support us. It needs to be fed and exercised and given attention. Small, simple acts of daily self care can help strengthen, nourish and support our self-love muscle.
Try to give yourself at least 5 minutes of sexy self care every day. 5 minutes of doing nothing. 5 minutes of getting grounded. Take a walk, a strut or a stroll. Breathe. Belt it out. Do something you love. Treat yourself like someone you love.
