What do you do when....You can't Poop?💩

Umm...what was that you just said...?


You're having a little trouble pooping? 💩


Don't worry, honey. It happens to all of us.


I got you.


We simply CANNOT feel healthy and vibrant when we don't have healthy poops!

Sometimes, we need a sister to remind us of the little important things.


So, what do you do when you just can't poop? Oooohh -- I have LOTS of little tips up my sleeve! But, before going to any extremes, let's get back to basics.


First, remember these 5 things:


  • Drink water. Are you drinking enough water? Please. Lubricate your colon. And, drinking a large glass of water (adding the juice of half a lemon is extra credit) first thing in the morning before you drink anything else is easy-peasy wellness first-aid. And then, do your best to drink extra water and eat juicy foods throughout the day.


  • Eat more fiber, leafy greens and cruciferous veggies, like brussels sprouts (here's a recipe), broccoli, cabbage, arugula, radishes, cauliflower, and super sexy kale. Fiber, of course, adds bulk to our stool -- and these badass greens and cruciferous veggies contain magical nutrients only present in plants that kick-start our natural detox potential. What? You don't like eating veggies? At least eat this.


  • Chia seeds. This is one of my favorite secret weapons for good elimination. Add at least 1 full tablespoon to fiber-rich oatmeal, a smoothie, yogurt, applesauce ... or better yet, try this delicious and decadent parfait recipe. Or -- this life changing bread. Oh, yeah. It lives up to it's name. Seriously, it's that good.


  • Move. Take a walk. Get things moving.



  • Rub this point. This acupuncture point on the stomach channel, known as Heavenly Pivot, is EPIC for treating constipation ... in fact, it is the single most effective and frequently used acupuncture point for chronic constipation that has ever been studied. Gently, but firmly, rub this point, located about 2 thumbs width from your belly button, on both sides. Think of this point whenever you feel bloated, stopped up, suffer from IBS or just have a tummy ache.
